Person Who Allows Sin

   9:45 am  12/21/10

A person is tempted when he is drawn away and trap by his own evil desire. Then his evil desire conceives and gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, give birth to death. (James 1:14,15)
To think you could never become this evil is the first step toward a hard heart. In Revelation9:21 they never repent of their sexual immorality. These men were so hardhearted that even plagues did not drive them to God. People don’t usually fall into immorality and evil suddenly-they slip into it a little at a time until, hardly realizing what has happened, they are irrevocably mired in their wicked ways.
Any person who allows sin to take root in his life can find himself in this predicament (difficult, unpleasant, embarrassing situation). Temptation entertain today becomes sin tomorrow, then a habit the next day, then death and separation to God forever.
The gospel is not only what we believe, but also how we must live. The Holy Spirit leads us in faithfulness, so we can avoid lust and other evil desires.
